Chef Desmond Scott celebrated the launch of his new cooking series, “Let’s Get It Started,” with a dinner Tuesday night at Silver Lining Lounge on New York’s Lower East Side. Guests included designer Jessica Rich, stylist Sierra Rena and Bilt creative director Julien Albertini.

The evening’s menu, curated by Sake No Hana, began with chili-crunch edamame, sweet bonito shishito peppers and spicy tuna tartare topped with caviar. The main course included lamb chops, yuzu miso salmon, Ginza chicken and short rib fried rice, followed by a selection of cakes.

Scott spoke with guests during the event and shared his enthusiasm for the series. The 12-episode show aims to offer ideas for appetizers to serve at group occasions, including game-day gatherings and holiday celebrations. Scott said he was inspired by the opportunity to introduce cooking to a new audience.

New episodes of “Let’s Get It Started” are released on Tuesdays on BET’s YouTube channel.
