Nicole Taylor, a singer in the country trio Taylor RED, has died at 35, her sisters Nika and Natalie announced. In a YouTube video, they said she was “at peace and no longer suffering” and described how difficult it was to talk about her loss.
Natalie said Nicole was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. Nika later shared that it was Stage 3 and “very aggressive.” Despite her illness and chemotherapy, Natalie said, Nicole encouraged her sisters to enjoy life and not give in to fear. She also continued doing CrossFit during treatment.
The sisters said Nicole found peace after being prayed over at church shortly after her diagnosis, and that this helped her remain strong. In a page created in her memory, they said she died on September 28. They described Nicole, the eldest of the three, as their leader and best friend, and said they had held a private funeral.
The identical triplets grew up playing instruments including guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they began posting comedy skits, transition videos and music challenges on TikTok and YouTube. Their online following grew to more than 13 million TikTok followers and 16 million YouTube subscribers, and Taylor Red partnered with brands including Sonic Drive-In, Crocs, Lipton and Skittles.
