Bryant Moreland, the YouTuber known as EDP445, was arrested in Las Vegas on Wednesday and charged with sex-related offenses in California. The Kern County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that he will be extradited to Kern County.

Court documents list four charges: attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, contacting a minor with intent to commit a sexual offense, and sending content with the intent to seduce a minor.

The case is linked to a sting operation featured in the documentary “The Sick Mind of EDP445.” Moreland believed he was going to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex, but an adult YouTuber met him instead.

In an interview with Chris Hansen, included in the documentary, Moreland said he had gone to the location intending to meet an underage girl and that he was trying to have sex. The Kern County District Attorney’s Office said Moreland’s recent statements in the documentary led it and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office to reopen the investigation. After reviewing the new evidence, prosecutors determined there was sufficient evidence to file charges.

JiDion, one of the YouTubers who organized the sting, shared video of Moreland’s arrest outside a dialysis center, where multiple officers were present.
