Delorean Bijon Brandon, who has been charged with murder in connection with Christina Downer’s disappearance and presumed death, had a history of criminal cases dating back more than two decades, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Downer was the sister of “Saturday Night Live” writer Jimmy Fowlie.
Records show Brandon was charged with grand theft in 2004 and later placed on probation. In May 2005, a judge ordered him to complete 240 hours of community service and pay a fine. His probation was subsequently revoked, and he was remanded into custody during court proceedings in 2007, the records show.
In a separate case from 2006, Brandon faced misdemeanor charges of unauthorized entry into a residence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court records also list several probation violation hearings in that case and show he was remanded into custody in March and October 2007.
Brandon was arrested last week in connection with Downer’s killing. Prosecutors allege he killed her around September 19, 2025, and have charged him with murder and two felony counts of injuring a spouse. Downer’s body has not been recovered.
Kaylee Markowski was also arrested and charged with being an accessory after the fact. Authorities allege she helped Brandon dispose of Downer’s body. Both are being held on $2 million bail.
Downer was reported missing in December 2025 after her ex-husband requested a welfare check. Brandon allegedly told police she had moved out of their Koreatown apartment months earlier, leaving her belongings, car and dog behind. Her phone later washed ashore in Santa Monica, after which homicide detectives took over the investigation.
