Erin Benavides had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.401% when she died, according to an autopsy and toxicology report obtained by TMZ. The report detected ethanol in her blood, a level more than five times the 0.08% legal driving limit cited in the report.
The tests also detected isopropanol and acetone. The findings do not establish whether those substances were consumed or resulted from biological or postmortem processes.
The medical examiner said Benavides died from a single gunshot wound and ruled her death a suicide. The report also noted that she had sent suicide-related text messages to family members and had a reported history of suicidal comments. TMZ reported that she left journals containing personal writings, but it was unclear what they said or whether investigators reviewed them.
Benavides was found dead at her Texas home in October, according to the report. She had previously been linked to allegations involving Tony Parker, who was married to Eva Longoria at the time. Longoria filed for divorce in November 2010 after allegedly discovering inappropriate text messages between Parker and Benavides, who was then married to Parker’s former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry. The divorce was finalized in 2011.
