Ryan Seacrest offered contestant Shawn Broderick a warm send-off after he missed out on a $50,000 prize during the final bonus round of the Nov. 3 episode of “Wheel of Fortune.” Seacrest hugged Broderick and told him, “We had a great night.”
Broderick still took home $23,650, including a $7,200 trip to Vietnam. After the contestant won the vacation, Seacrest joked that Broderick—who had said he was single—would need to find someone to join him. Broderick replied, “Anybody, please apply.”
The Washington native said he was especially excited to meet longtime co-host Vanna White, telling Seacrest he was nervous to say hello to her and calling her “the best.”
White has said she enjoys working with Seacrest, describing their chemistry as good and calling him professional and hardworking. She also said she considered retiring when longtime host Pat Sajak stepped down in 2024, but decided she was not ready to leave the show.
