Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell says he has full movement in his lower body and is making progress with movement in his upper body. He shared the update in his first public statement since suffering a neck injury during the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 1.
In a statement posted to X, Campbell thanked people for their support and said he was encouraged by his progress. He added that there is still work ahead, but that he remains optimistic and is focusing on recovery one day at a time.
Campbell also expressed gratitude to the athletic trainers and medical personnel who treated him on the field, as well as the teams at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions. He thanked his teammates, coaches and the Lions organization for supporting him and his family.
The linebacker said his faith and the support around him are helping him face the challenges ahead, and asked people to continue keeping him and his family in their prayers.
