The Detroit Lions have provided a positive update on linebacker Jack Campbell after he was injured during the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 1.

Campbell, 26, was involved in a tackle of opposing tight end T.J. Hockenson and was later seen lying face down on the field. Video appeared to show limited movement in his legs. Medical staff immobilized him before taking him from the field on a cart.

The Lions said on Monday, November 2, that Campbell was continuing to rest and recover at a local hospital following a neck injury. The team added that preliminary indications were positive, but said it would not provide further information out of respect for Campbell and his family.

Head coach Dan Campbell also offered an encouraging update, saying the situation was positive and asking people to continue their prayers. He declined to share additional details, but said that Campbell’s family was in good spirits and that several teammates had visited him at the hospital.
