Cardi B has revealed the name of her youngest child: Grey Marsean Diggs. The rapper announced it on Instagram on Nov. 4, marking her son’s first birthday with photos and a personal message.
“Happy 1st birthday to Grey Marsean Diggs!!” Cardi wrote. She said that although she had known him for only a year, it felt as if he had been by her side forever. She also described carrying him during an uncertain and demanding period in her life, saying his presence gave her strength.
Cardi added that Grey had brought a new meaning to a “Grey day,” and said his smile, laugh and spirit light up her life and the rooms he enters. She also shared a photo of him in scrubs beside a Grey’s Anatomy sign, linking his Halloween look to his name.
Grey is Cardi’s first child with Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots. She also has three children with her ex, Offset: Kulture, Wave and Blossom.
The birthday post also revealed Grey’s birth date. Cardi had announced last year that she had welcomed a new baby, but kept his name private at the time. Speaking to Highsnobiety at a Cybex event after the announcement, she said the name was “cute” but that she was not ready to share it.
