Vivienne, the 18-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has legally changed her name to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. A Los Angeles judge approved her petition on Monday, November 2, according to court documents cited by Us Weekly.

The paperwork stated that, with no objections filed, the name-change petition was granted and the decree signed. Vivienne’s attorney, Peter Kenneth Levine, appeared remotely for the hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court, presided over by Judge Virginia Keeny.

Vivienne filed the request on July 20, eight days after she and her twin brother, Knox, turned 18. The reason given in the court documents was “personal.” She had already been using Jolie publicly for more than two years and was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders in May 2024.

She is the fourth of Pitt and Jolie’s six children to legally remove their father’s surname. Shiloh’s petition was approved in August 2024, while Zahara and Maddox have also dropped Pitt from their names. Knox left Pitt off his high school diploma in June but has not filed paperwork to make the change legally.

Pitt and Jolie also share children Pax and Knox. The couple married in 2014 and separated in 2016; their divorce was finalized in 2024. They remain involved in a separate legal dispute concerning their French winery, Château Miraval.
