Vivienne, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has officially removed her father’s surname from her legal name. A Los Angeles judge approved her petition to change her name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie during a hearing on Monday, according to Page Six.

Vivienne’s attorney, Peter Kenneth Levine, appeared remotely at the hearing. Judge Virginia Keeny presided over the proceedings at the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse and announced that the name-change petitions before the court had been approved.

The decision follows an earlier public use of the shortened name. Vivienne was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the 2024 Broadway production of “The Outsiders,” which she helped produce with her mother.

She is now the third of the former couple’s children reported to have legally dropped Pitt’s surname. Zahara, 21, changed her name from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie in September. Shiloh, 20, was the first of the six children to pursue the change, filing her petition on her 18th birthday in May 2024; a judge approved it that August.

Vivienne initially filed her petition on July 20, eight days after celebrating her 18th birthday with her twin brother, Knox. The name changes come amid the family estrangement that followed Jolie and Pitt’s contentious separation.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016 after two years of marriage. They were declared legally single in 2019 and finalized their divorce settlement in December 2024, following an eight-year legal dispute.
