Sahara Ray will be cremated on November 10, according to a death certificate obtained by Page Six. The model and swimwear designer died on October 18 at age 34, and the document lists her mother Gretchen Gia Bach’s Los Angeles residence as the location of final disposition.

The certificate states that Ray died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Although an autopsy has been completed, an official cause of death has not been disclosed. TMZ reported that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office is awaiting toxicology results.

Earlier reports cited a suspected fentanyl overdose, but that has not been confirmed as the cause of death. The Daily Mail reported that Ray was placed on life support and that her family decided to withdraw it that day.

Ray, the daughter of Bach and surfer Tony Ray, had an infant daughter, Snow, with Michael Bradley Dow. Her mother and younger sister Ruby shared tributes on Instagram after her death. Ruby described her sister as vivacious, kind and empathetic, and wrote that she struggled to comprehend the loss.

Actress Jessica Serfaty, a close friend, told Page Six that Ray had faced mental health challenges. Serfaty said she and Bach had worked with others close to Ray to support her, and remembered the many people who cared for her.

Musician Mod Sun, who was romantically linked to Ray in 2023, also paid tribute, calling her “pure magic” and recalling her ability to bring energy and creativity to a room.
