Meghan Markle is reportedly having a difficult time amid allegations involving her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr. Hello! royal editor Emily Nash said on the outlet’s “Right Royal” podcast that people close to Meghan described her as “really struggling.”

The allegations became public last month, when Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., said he had found child sexual abuse material at their father’s home in the Philippines. Thomas Sr. has denied the claims, describing them as “sick lies” in a statement to the Daily Mail.

Meghan has been estranged from her father since 2018. In October, she said she was “deeply distressed” by the allegations and that her thoughts were with any children who may have been harmed. She also expressed hope that justice would be served and that children’s safety would remain the priority.

Nash said Meghan, Prince Harry and their children have support from close friends, including people checking in on Meghan daily. Meghan has not publicly commented on Hello!’s report.
