Jen Affleck is ending her marriage to Zac Affleck by filing for divorce, a move that follows the public airing of their relationship difficulties on the reality series "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives." According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Jen submitted a petition for divorce in Utah on Tuesday. Along with the petition, she filed a proposed parenting plan, though the specific details regarding custody arrangements and the reasons for the split remain private under court records.
The couple originally met in 2018 on the Mormon dating app Mutual. They became engaged the following year and married in June 2019. Since then, they have built a family together, welcoming three children named Nora, Lucas, and Penelope. Jen is currently pregnant with their fourth child.
Their marital challenges were a focal point during the first season of the Hulu series, where both opened up about their struggles. Jen previously admitted that they began filming in a "rocky place" but noted that attending therapy helped them work through issues and ultimately strengthen their bond. Despite this past progress, the couple is now separating. Jen is scheduled to star in the upcoming Hulu spinoff, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County," which premieres on November 12 following her relocation from Utah to Southern California.
