Tyler Baltierra has shared an update on Catelynn Lowell’s health journey, saying his wife has lost 30 pounds. The Teen Mom alum made the announcement on Instagram on Nov. 1 while posting family photos from Halloween.
“Can we just take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful my wife is!?” Baltierra wrote, adding that he was “so beyond proud” of Lowell. He also shared before-and-after images of her wearing a witch costume in a previous year and again this year.
The couple’s Halloween post also showed their children’s costumes. Lowell and their youngest daughter, Rya, wore matching purple-and-black outfits, while Nova dressed as Stick Man and Vaeda as Pennywise the Clown. Baltierra dressed as DC superhero Nightwing.
Baltierra and Lowell are parents to Nova, 11, Vaeda, 7, and Rya, 4. They also have a 16-year-old daughter, Carly, whom they placed for adoption in 2009.
Lowell has not directly discussed the reported weight loss. However, she addressed speculation about Baltierra criticizing her body during a 2023 appearance on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, saying she would leave if she were body-shamed or insulted in front of their children.
Lowell has also publicly supported Baltierra during his own fitness efforts. In August 2022, he said he had lost 24 pounds while discussing his goals, and Lowell responded in the comments with: “Ayeeee my sexy man.”
