Heidi Klum is set to reveal her annual Halloween costume within hours, but the identity of this year's character remains a mystery despite recent clues. The 53-year-old model and Project Runway host described her 2026 creation as "very, very bloody" before posting an Instagram glimpse of prosthetics on October 28, asking followers if they had figured it out yet.
Klum has long established herself as the undisputed queen of Halloween, moving away from sexy outfits to embrace gory and terrifying themes. She previously told People magazine that her approach involves going "gory" and taking things to the extreme. This commitment was evident last year when she transformed into Medusa, a concept she had been developing for some time after seeing numerous interpretations of the mythological Greek gorgon.
Her vision for the Medusa costume included moving snakes covering her head to tail, a super-ugly and scary face with ugly teeth, and a design resembling a long rattlesnake. This elaborate look followed her 2025 transformation where she turned her husband, Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz, into stone.
Klum's evolution in costume choices began with her inaugural outing in 2000, which she described on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as a "Heidi-themed dirndl-type thing in patent leather." Since then, she has dedicated herself to creating killer looks, recently treating her more than 12 million Instagram followers to a roundup of past costumes ahead of the big unveiling.
