Heidi Klum embraced the spirit of Halloween by arriving at her annual party dressed as a giant severed hand modeled after her own. The costume featured red nail polish, multiple rings and detailed prosthetics designed to replicate her anatomy.
Speaking to Good Morning America on the October 31 red carpet, Klum said her own hand was the inspiration. She explained that the design reproduced details such as her veins, using scanning and 3D-printing techniques.
The costume was created by Klum’s longtime collaborator, Mike Marino. The model said the team began working on it at 3:00 that day, making the preparation relatively manageable compared with some of her previous transformations.
Klum, who has become known for her elaborate Halloween costumes, was escorted along the red carpet by people wearing hazmat suits. She emphasized that the outfit was intended to represent her hand specifically, rather than being a generic giant hand.
Details included recreations of her engagement ring, wedding band and a small tattoo on her finger. Klum said the attention to elements that might not be immediately noticed is what makes the costumes special.
After walking the red carpet, Klum removed the hand costume and continued attending the party in a tight, bloodied outfit. She has said that leaving her elaborate costumes at the end of the night can be an adventure because of the time required to put them on.
Although the 2026 celebration had just ended, Klum said she would begin thinking about her next Halloween costume on November 1. She added that she is always collecting ideas for future transformations.
