HBO has renewed Sharon Horgan’s comedy series Youth for a second season. The announcement came on Monday, November 2, one day after the first-season finale aired. All eight episodes of Season 1 are available to stream on HBO Max.

Horgan created, wrote and stars in the series as Alex, a 50-year-old divorcee seeking love and sex while caring for her aging parents and raising her adult son. The cast also includes Rupert Friend as Patrick, Sharlene Whyte as Sam, Aran Murphy as Ruari and Robbie Gee as Frank.

In a statement to Variety, Horgan said she was grateful for the audience response and the opportunity to work with the cast and creative team again. HBO programming executive Amy Gravitt praised the show’s blend of humor and emotion and said the network was pleased to bring its ensemble back for another season.
