Melissa Rycroft has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated for the second time in just over a year, according to TMZ. The 43-year-old former The Bachelor contestant was booked in Tarrant County, Texas, on Sunday, November 1.
The charges include driving while intoxicated; driving with an invalid license following a prior conviction or suspension and without financial responsibility; and causing a collision that resulted in less than $200 in vehicle damage.
Rycroft’s latest arrest comes after a previous DWI case in Texas. In August 2026, she pleaded guilty and received 20 months of probation instead of a 280-day jail sentence. She was also ordered to pay approximately $2,000 in fines and court fees, complete 36 hours of community service within 120 days, take a DWI education course and undergo a substance abuse evaluation.
As part of that agreement, Rycroft was permitted to drive only a vehicle fitted with a camera-enabled ignition interlock device. She also agreed not to commit another offense, to abstain from the illegal use, possession or sale of controlled substances, marijuana or cannabinoids, and not to consume or possess alcohol.
Following her October 2025 arrest, Rycroft said that she was struggling but trying to move forward.
Rycroft previously worked as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and appeared on the 13th season of The Bachelor. She became engaged to Jason Mesnick during the finale, but he ended their relationship during After the Final Rose to pursue the season’s runner-up, Molly Mesnick. Jason and Molly Mesnick married in 2010.
Rycroft married Tye Strickland in 2010. They have three children: daughter Ava, born in 2011, and sons Beckett, born in 2014, and Cayson, born in 2016.
