Britney Spears criticized her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and ex-husband Kevin Federline in an Instagram post over the weekend, saying they made her feel like a “slave” and declaring that she would “find a new family.”
Spears claimed Jamie Lynn never allowed her to hold her niece Ivy during visits to Louisiana during the COVID-19 period. She also alleged that Federline would not let her use the bathroom when she visited their sons at his home.
Spears shares Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 20, with Federline. Page Six reported that representatives for Federline and Jamie Lynn had been contacted but had not immediately responded.
The post came days after Page Six reported that Federline allegedly owes at least $117,704 to City National Bank through a credit card, a line of credit and an overdraft line. According to documents cited by the outlet, he signed the agreement in November 2024, around the time Spears made her final child support payment to him.
The payments had been reduced to $20,000 after Sean Preston turned 18 in 2023 and continued until Jayden James graduated from high school. Page Six also reported that Bank of America sued Federline in February over an alleged $12,186.64 debt, although the case was later dismissed with prejudice after he appeared to have paid the amount.
Spears and Jamie Lynn have been estranged for years, with tensions linked to Spears’ former conservatorship and financial affairs. Spears has previously said she felt betrayed by family members, including Jamie Lynn, for not helping her leave the arrangement, which ended in November 2021.
Their public dispute intensified in 2022 after Jamie Lynn promoted her memoir, “Things I Should Have Said,” and gave interviews in which she described Britney’s behavior as “erratic” and “paranoid.”
