Kevin Federline is encountering significant financial difficulties following the cessation of monthly payments from his ex-wife, Britney Spears. According to legal documents obtained by Page Six, the 48-year-old former dancer owes City National Bank a total of at least $117,704. This debt encompasses balances on a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft line.

Federline entered into the agreement with the bank in late November 2024, coinciding with the arrival of his final child support payment from Spears. Initially, Federline received $40,000 monthly to support their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, while residing in Hawaii. The payments were reduced to $20,000 after Sean turned 18 and continued until Jayden graduated from high school.

In his memoir, "You Thought You Knew," Federline stated that these funds were insufficient to cover his living expenses. He claimed the money was spent on security and maintaining a lifestyle for the boys comparable to what they experienced with Spears, noting that costs easily exceeded $40,000 per month. "The money was gone almost as soon as it came in," he wrote.

The lawsuit filed by the bank demands repayment of the principal amount along with accrued interest at varying rates: 20.5% on the credit card, 7.5% on the line of credit, and 18% on the overdraft line. The personal line of credit was due in June 2025, while the overdraft line was due in April of that same year. Federline has until August 2026 to settle the credit card debt.

Federline's attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the lawsuit. The couple originally met in early 2004, became engaged by July, and married in California that September. Spears filed for divorce in November 2006, with the split finalized in July 2007.
