Bill Belichick pushed back when asked about his reported split from Jordon Hudson, making clear he does not want to discuss his personal life while at work.
“Do you work for a tabloid now?” Belichick told WRAL on Monday, November 2. “I’ll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself if that’s alright with you.”
TMZ reported days earlier that Belichick and Hudson had quietly split “late last year,” despite being seen together publicly more recently. The reason for the reported breakup and who initiated it have not been disclosed. A source told the outlet that the pair remain close friends and are committed to their business partnerships.
USA Today Sports, citing two staff members in the UNC football office, reported that the news surprised people inside the organization. Neither Belichick nor Hudson has publicly addressed the status of their relationship. TMZ also reported that Hudson is dating other people.
The pair met on a flight in 2021, after Belichick signed one of Hudson’s textbooks. Hudson later appeared at North Carolina home games and on Belichick’s recruiting trips. They were also seen together at a Maryland high school football game in September.
Belichick has previously said Hudson helped with personal matters outside the football program. On the “Pivot” podcast last year, he said her assistance helped him devote his time to football. Hudson’s most recent Instagram post featuring Belichick was in May, when they attended the Kentucky Derby together.
