Barbara Palvin has responded to criticism surrounding her appearance at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which took place six weeks after she and Dylan Sprouse welcomed their daughter, Sylvie.
In an interview with E! News at the Sprouse House Halloween Party in Los Angeles on Oct. 31, Palvin said reactions to her return were divided. Some people supported her decision to resume her work, while others felt she should still be resting at home.
“Everyone's postpartum journey is different,” Palvin said, adding that the runway appearance reflected her own experience. She also acknowledged feeling overwhelmed by the attention but expressed gratitude for the support of Sprouse and her family, who helped her return to the show.
Palvin, who gave birth to their first child on Sept. 7, offered a simple message to other new mothers: “Don't be scared to ask for help.”
Sprouse also spoke about the moment he cheered for Palvin from the audience during her runway appearance. The actor said he was extremely proud of her and argued that supporting a loved one should not be treated as unusual.
The actor had been returning from filming and Palvin was unsure whether he would arrive in time to see her walk. She said she was happy that he caught his flight and made it to the show.
The couple later celebrated their first Halloween as parents. Sprouse dressed as Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” while Palvin went as Oogie Boogie. Their daughter wore more than one costume during the evening, beginning as a princess before changing into a pumpkin.
