Whitney Peak says she felt overwhelmed by the responsibility of joining The Hunger Games, describing the experience as being “way in over my head” in a new interview with Cosmopolitan. Peak plays Lenore Dove Baird in the upcoming film, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

Peak said the scale of the franchise, its devoted audience and the importance of her character made the role feel daunting. She told the magazine she had to set those concerns aside and focus on doing the work. She also offered a brief preview of the film’s emotional tone, advising viewers to bring tissues.

Peak appears on one of Cosmopolitan’s Winter Issues covers alongside co-stars Mckenna Grace and Maya Hawke, who are featured on separate covers. Grace plays Maysilee Donner and recalled making Hunger Games fan edits before joining the cast, including one supporting Peeta. Hawke, who plays Wiress, said sharing the experience with her fellow actors helped ease the pressure, adding that they would face the challenge as a team.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 20.
