FBI will return for season 9, and the information available indicates that several of the series’ regulars are expected back. The show, created by Dick Wolf, follows FBI agents in New York City and has aired since 2018.
Missy Peregrym is expected to continue as Maggie Bell. The actor has denied plans to leave after her character faced the loss of her sister, Erin, who was kidnapped and killed by serial killer Ray DiStefano. Peregrym said the storyline gives the show a chance to explore grief, recovery and how Maggie returns to work.
Zeeko Zaki is also set to return as OA, though his season 9 storyline is expected to differ after he went undercover. Jeremy Sisto’s Jubal will again be a central presence, while Alana de la Garza is expected back as Isobel. John Boyd is also likely to return as Scola.
Juliana Aiden Martinez, who joined in season 8 as Eva Ramos, has expressed hope that she will remain on the series. She said the role appealed to her because it offered the chance to bring a different perspective to the profession portrayed on the show.
Shantel VanSanten is confirmed to return as Nina later in the season.
