The new Broadway musical Wanted has released its first production photos as it continues preview performances ahead of its official opening on November 8.
Solea Pfeiffer and Liisi LaFontaine star as Mary and Martha Clarke, twin sisters on the run in Texas in 1893. The sisters are Black women who pass for white, and they face mounting pressure as powerful forces threaten their family’s future. The story follows their fight to protect their mother and their family’s legacy while seeking dignity and self-determination.
The cast also includes singers Ledisi and Luke James, as well as Bradley Jaden, who makes his Broadway debut. The musical’s book and lyrics are by Angelica Chéri, a descendant of the Clarke sisters, with music by Ross Baum.
