Vivienne Jolie, the 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has legally removed “Pitt” from her last name. A California judge approved her request during a hearing on November 2, according to court documents obtained by People.
Vivienne filed the petition in July, shortly after turning 18. Her legal name has now changed from “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt” to “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.”
She had already used the name Vivienne Jolie publicly in 2024, when she was credited as a producer of the Tony-winning Broadway musical The Outsiders.
As part of the legal process, Vivienne published notice of her petition in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four consecutive weeks, from July 24 through August 14. The notice gave anyone who opposed the request an opportunity to submit a written objection before the final hearing.
Vivienne is the fourth of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children to legally remove “Pitt” from their surname. Shiloh Jolie changed her name in 2024, while Maddox Jolie and Zahara Jolie were granted name changes in September 2026.
Their other two sons, Knox and Pax, continue to use the surname Jolie-Pitt.
