President Donald Trump took a break from campaigning ahead of this week’s midterm elections to host a jungle-themed Halloween party at Mar-a-Lago, where guests were served caviar and Alaskan king crab and a live zebra was present. Puppets were also among the party’s attractions.
Trump did not wear a costume, telling reporters he came as himself. He said he had only 10 minutes to get ready, while some other guests spent nine hours preparing.
Asked about Tuesday’s midterm elections, Trump told reporters he felt good about how things were going and said, “The country has never done better.”
