President Donald Trump was asked to name the most attractive member of his administration during a Monday, November 2, appearance on Miranda Devine’s Pod Force One podcast. Devine mentioned Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and also asked whether Trump would choose Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth—or someone else.
Trump chuckled and warned that his answer might get him into trouble. He called Hegseth “a good-looking guy” and said the administration’s members were “all great looking.” He described Rubio as a “great hot politician,” praised both Rubio and Vance for doing well, and said Bessent looked like “central casting,” adding that he would cast him as the lead in a movie about the Treasury.
The interview follows Trump’s recent remarks about men’s physiques at campaign events. At an October 12 rally in Youngstown, Ohio, he complimented Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s appearance, and he returned to the subject at another rally on October 25. Trump also said he believed his remarks about Husted had helped his standing in the polls.
Trump’s comments about Husted drew attention from late-night hosts and the cohosts of The View. On the October 26 episode, Ana Navarro said she could not believe Trump’s closing message during a closely contested election was about “asses.”
