Marcel Johnson, a TikTok creator and father of five, has died at 32. His wife, Taylor, shared the news in an Instagram post, writing that he had fought for a long time while enduring exhaustion and pain.
Taylor said Johnson’s only words to her the day before he died were, “I’m ready to go.” She added that he continued fighting through the day, giving them a little more time together. In her post, Taylor said she loves her husband deeply and that life will never be the same without him. The post included photos of the couple with their five sons.
A GoFundMe page created to support Johnson and his family also confirmed his death. Its message said he had beaten the odds doctors gave him, but was ultimately at peace and ready to be free from pain. The fundraiser, which had raised more than $372,000, said donations would now go to Taylor and their children.
Johnson shared updates about his stomach cancer diagnosis and treatment on social media. He said he stopped treatment in September after 25 rounds of chemotherapy because he was too weak, and that hospice was contacting him daily as he had no further options.
On October 14, he posted a video of himself and Taylor traveling by private plane to City of Hope Medical Center in California. Ten days later, he said he had received answers he needed and that they would return home to see how long he could hold on. His final social media post, shared on October 25, showed him smiling at home beside one of his sons.
