Taylor Swift has revealed one of the unusual habits her husband, Travis Kelce, has to put up with: she and her longtime friend Abigail Anderson still speak to each other in voices from the 2004 film “Napoleon Dynamite.”
Swift discussed the running joke during a Q&A session in New York City on Sunday following a screening of “Toy Story 5.” The Grammy-winning singer said she and Anderson, both 36, “still do this” impression and that their husbands have to tolerate it. She also demonstrated her version of Jon Heder’s character for the audience.
The conversation came as Swift spoke about the appeal of finding someone who shares the same kind of “weird and silly” personality. She connected that idea to Bonnie and Blaze, characters in “Toy Story 5,” which was released in June.
Swift recalled meeting Anderson after moving to Nashville at age 14. She said Anderson immediately understood her unusual personality, describing her as someone who recognized “the strange, little genre” she represents at her most authentic.
The pair have remained close for decades. Swift served as a bridesmaid at Anderson’s 2017 wedding to photographer Matt Lucier.
The article also reported that Swift has stayed busy while Kelce focuses on football. According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, Swift supports his demanding schedule, works out with him and spends time with the Kelce family. The source said she accepts the time he must dedicate to the Kansas City Chiefs because football is his passion. Swift has also reportedly been writing new music and spending time with friends.
