Tanner Courtad has clarified the brief relationship behind rumors linking him to Julianne Hough. The former Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise contestant said on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast that they went on one date and did not continue seeing each other.
Courtad said he was attending Dancing With the Stars to support Joey Graziadei when professional dancer Ezra Sosa approached him. Sosa told Courtad that the show’s host thought he was cute and asked whether he could pass along her number. Courtad said he initially wondered if the interaction was a prank, but he and Hough began chatting and later met in person.
They went to a park with Hough’s dog, got sushi and spent the evening together, Courtad recalled. The pair were spotted by paparazzi while picking up sushi, after having previously been seen together in December 2024.
Courtad described the connection as short-lived and said it was never more than a single date. He added that Hough was great, but confirmed they did not continue dating.
