Sydney Sweeney was observed tearing up on set in New York City on Wednesday afternoon, November 4, during the production of The Housemaid's Secret. The 29-year-old actress appeared visibly emotional as she filmed a scene involving her co-stars Stephen Kalyn and Michele Morrone. Witnesses noted that Sweeney became tearful while Kalyn walked away from the scene and Morrone stood in the distance.
The upcoming film sees Sweeney reprising her role as Millie, who returns to take a housekeeping job for a woman she is never permitted to see. The plot centers on her discovery of the truth behind a locked door that threatens to reveal secrets darker than her own. Joining Sweeney and Morrone in the sequel are Stephen Kalyn, Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow, and Paul Anthony Kelly.
The Housemaid's Secret is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on December 17, 2027. Prior to this emotional scene, photos emerged last week showing Sweeney and Kalyn kissing on set. Meanwhile, Michele Morrone recently announced a new business venture as a part-owner of the subscription website Subs, where he plans to share an intimate side of himself. Earlier in the summer, images also surfaced of Morrone relaxing in his underwear during a beach day.
