Sky Daily has publicly denied allegations that she groomed a minor and assisted in covering up abuse, calling the claims a lie that has been repeated for years. Daily, who was married to Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, from 2023 until his death at 71 last year, addressed the accusations in a social media video on Saturday, October 31.
Daily said she is not a member of the Church of Scientology and has been a Christian for nearly two decades. She explained that she was born into Scientology but later embraced her grandparents’ Episcopalian faith and raised her children accordingly.
According to Daily, the allegations originated with a person she described as a longtime stalker. She said the individual had repeatedly contacted her through phone and social media after she refused to share her phone number.
The allegations were detailed in a lawsuit filed anonymously by the girlfriend of Daily’s son. The lawsuit claims Daily used alcohol to groom the woman into joining the Church of Scientology and allegedly helped conceal abuse by her son. Daily rejected those claims and said that reports portraying her as a Scientologist have caused harm.
Daily also addressed an online course she arranged for her son after he wanted to attend electrician school and leave high school. She said the program covered subjects such as biology and mathematics and had no connection to Scientology’s spiritual teachings.
The anonymous plaintiff said she reported the alleged incident to Clearwater, Florida, police earlier this year. She claimed the case was “quietly and quickly” closed because of Daily’s perceived ties to the church.
However, the Clearwater Police Department said the investigation remains open. In a statement, police said detectives began investigating allegations related to sexual battery and supplying alcohol to minors after a party on Clearwater Beach in March. The department said the case was referred to the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution and rejected reports that it had been closed.
Daily said the accusations had grown into conspiracy theories and affected several people’s lives. She ended her statement by saying she would continue trying to be kind and would not allow the allegations to harden her.
