Shilo Sanders cut short a food review in West Palm Beach after a confrontation with a man who approached him at a restaurant and criticized his family. Sanders later shared footage of the incident on his YouTube channel under the title “Shilo Gets Pressed in the Hood Doing a Food Review.”
The video shows Sanders ordering wings at Hook Fish & Chicken, a restaurant he had previously tried and enjoyed, when a man who said he was from the neighborhood began confronting him. The reason for the man’s anger was not clear.
The verbal exchange continued into the parking lot. There, the man accused the Sanders family of failing to do anything for the West Palm Beach community. Shortly afterward, he allegedly reached into his car, prompting Sanders to leave rather than wait to see what the man might do.
Speaking from his car, Sanders said he did not want to risk having to defend himself or deal with possible legal paperwork. He also said he did not want someone to harm him. Sanders added that he did not understand the man’s issue with his father, Deion Sanders, and described the man’s behavior as troubling.
Since leaving the NFL, Shilo Sanders has focused on creating online content, including vlogs, pranks and food reviews. The restaurant visit was interrupted by the confrontation, which was captured on camera.
