Savannah Guthrie is making another emotional appeal for information about her mother, Nancy Guthrie, nine months after the 84-year-old was reported missing. In an Instagram post on Sunday, November 1, Guthrie shared a drawing by her daughter showing a rainstorm, an umbrella and the words, “I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy.” She also posted a throwback photo of her mother.

“The world goes on, things appear ‘normal’ — as we try to keep going and be strong, especially for our young kids — but it’s not and it never will be,” Guthrie wrote. She said her family continues to grieve and seek answers, asking anyone with information to help them.

Guthrie also emphasized that the reward for information leading to her mother’s discovery remains available. “Our mom was a light in this world,” she wrote. “We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves.”

Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31 and was reported missing after she did not attend a virtual church service the following day. Video from a camera at her front door showed a masked man apparently attempting to enter the property. No suspect had been named at the time of publication.

The family also received multiple notes described as ransom demands. In a March interview with former Today cohost Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie said she believed that two notes the family received and answered were authentic.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said on October 30 that the investigation still had no suspects. The Nancy Guthrie Task Force is continuing to work with laboratories on DNA analysis, and investigators recently traveled to Florida to discuss ways to advance the case with laboratory scientists.

Authorities urged the public to report any potentially relevant information, stressing that even a small detail could be important. Tips can be submitted by calling 88-CRIME or 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Savannah Guthrie, who returned to the Today show after taking several weeks away following her mother’s disappearance, closed her latest message by thanking people who have supported her family and asking them to continue praying. The family has offered a $1 million reward for information that leads to Nancy Guthrie’s discovery.
