Rosland Capital, the precious-metals company where Disney actor Erik von Detten worked for years, has reported debts of $63,695,061 in its ongoing bankruptcy, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The company sold precious metals to retail customers.
Rosland filed for bankruptcy months after it and von Detten were sued by Sheila and Norman Greenberg. The couple alleged that von Detten sold them gold through the company and that they paid more than $2 million for it. They later said they learned the gold was worth $1.3 million and accused von Detten of taking advantage of them because of their age.
Von Detten had not responded to the lawsuit before Rosland filed for bankruptcy. Creditors in the bankruptcy case have also described him as a “roadblock” to obtaining information about the company, TMZ previously reported. The case is ongoing.
