Prince George reunited with his father, Prince William, in Barcelona on Nov. 3, where they watched Aston Villa FC face FC Barcelona in a Champions League match. The outing came during a school break, less than two months after George began boarding at Eton College.

William is a longtime Aston Villa supporter. FC Barcelona acknowledged the royal visitors in a message on X, saying it was honoured to welcome the Prince of Wales and Prince George to Spotify Camp Nou for the match.

The father and son wore casual dark-coloured outfits against the cold. William chose a black jacket and cap, while George wore a black-and-white Aston Villa windbreaker. Although Aston Villa lost, the two watched the game together, and George was seen leaning his head on his father’s shoulder.

George’s mother, Kate, had said she was looking forward to having her children home for their half-term break. During a visit to a charity shop on Oct. 22, she told a young child that her children would finish school the next day and that she could not wait to have them all home.

George started at Eton College on Sept. 8. William and Kate accompanied him for the start of the school year, shaking hands with the headmaster. The school welcomed George and wished him luck.
