Jen Affleck marked daughter Nora’s fifth birthday with an Instagram Story on Nov. 4, a day after filing for divorce from her husband, Zac Affleck. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shared a photo of Nora posing beside a bicycle in a pink Disney princess outfit, with birthday balloons visible in the room. “I can’t believe she’s already 5,” Jen wrote.
According to Utah court records obtained by E! News, Jen filed for divorce on Nov. 3. The couple, who married in June 2019, have three children: Nora, Luca, 3, and Penelope, 16 months. They are also expecting a fourth child.
Jen and Zac have spoken publicly about difficulties in their marriage, some of which were featured on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and its upcoming spinoff, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County. The series followed the couple as they moved to Southern California.
In an August interview with People, Jen described the preceding months as difficult and said she was trying to focus on her blessings. She also discussed experiencing prenatal depression during her first trimester and said Zac had stepped in to support her and their children.
