Miranda Kerr has explained why she declined an invitation to appear in the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, saying she felt anxious about walking the runway in underwear and ultimately trusted that reaction.

Speaking on the November 3 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Kerr said she had seriously considered taking part. She had recently walked for Stella McCartney and enjoyed the experience, describing it as elegant and aligned with where she was in life. The prospect of returning to Victoria’s Secret also brought back fond memories of the show’s playful atmosphere.

Kerr said the invitation initially excited her, but she later began to feel uneasy. While meditating, she pictured herself on the runway alongside models in their underwear and thought about being 43 and a mother of four. She recalled feeling a knot in her stomach that did not go away, despite trying to calm herself.

The model said she tested how she felt about withdrawing from the show and felt the knot release. That reaction convinced her that declining was the right decision, even though part of her had wanted to return. Kerr added that she may be at a different stage in her life, while saying she still loves the photographs from her earlier shows.

Kerr’s Victoria’s Secret contract ended in 2013. She shared her decision on Instagram ahead of the show, noting that it marked 20 years since her first appearance. She said she was grateful for the friendships and memories, but felt it was right to cherish that chapter rather than return. The brand responded to her post: “Always an Angel to us.”
