Michael Lohan has sharply criticized Perez Hilton, saying the blogger’s past comments about people led him to respond with the word “karma.” Lohan made the remarks during an appearance on the “Light. Tan. Up.” podcast.
Lohan also called a GoFundMe campaign supporting Hilton’s mother “pathetic” and “beyond disgusting.” The fundraiser was created by Hilton’s friend Tom D’Angora, with Hilton’s mother, Teresita Lavandeira, listed as the recipient. Its stated purpose was to help cover additional costs associated with caring for Hilton’s three children.
“I don’t dislike him, I pity him,” Lohan said, according to the podcast discussion. He and Hilton have previously clashed over the blogger’s coverage of Lohan’s family.
Hilton was hospitalized after a suicide attempt in August, receiving treatment for an overdose and broken bones. He was later placed under a psychiatric hold and had a supervised in-person visit with his three children at a residential treatment facility in September.
