Lifestyle influencer Liam Fitzgerald died early Oct. 30 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, his girlfriend Jamie Lyn Rinaldi confirmed. He was 29.
In an Instagram post published Oct. 31, Rinaldi said Fitzgerald suffered severe injuries and that efforts to save him were unsuccessful. She described the loss as heartbreaking and asked followers to keep his family and loved ones in their thoughts while respecting their privacy.
Fitzgerald had about one million Instagram followers and more than 350,000 on TikTok. He was known for workout, wellness and motivational content.
His family also paid tribute to him in a statement shared on his Instagram on Nov. 1, calling him a “shining light” with a memorable personality and a deeply caring nature. They said he had inspired family members, friends, teammates, strangers and people around the world.
The statement also addressed Fitzgerald’s personal struggles with alcohol. His loved ones said he understood that drinking was harming him and shared that part of his story in the hope it might encourage others facing a similar battle to seek support and remember they do not have to face it alone.
His family said Fitzgerald never claimed to be perfect and continually tried to grow and improve. They also reflected on his passion for content creation, his ambitions and the life he still hoped to live before it was cut short.
Rinaldi later spoke about their relationship, explaining that they had reconnected after she arrived in Florida. She said Fitzgerald had apologized, worked to change and that they had recently decided to become a couple again after keeping their relationship private.
According to Rinaldi, the pair had been happy and making progress, with plans for their future. She asked people not to make judgments or speculate about their relationship as she mourns, saying that what they shared was real and special.
