Liam Fitzgerald’s family has issued its first public statement since the social media influencer died at 29, remembering him as a devoted friend and family member who inspired people through his work and personality.
The statement, posted to Fitzgerald’s Instagram account on Sunday, November 1, described him as someone who could brighten a room and loved those close to him deeply. His family also praised his work ethic and his efforts as a Miami-based fitness content creator.
Fitzgerald enjoyed filming, creating and editing videos to share his experiences and encourage others, his relatives said. They added that he hoped his message would show people they could recover from difficult periods and grow.
The family disclosed that Fitzgerald had struggled with alcohol at times and knew it was harming him. They urged anyone facing a similar battle to seek support from loved ones and ask for help, saying they did not have to face it alone.
Fitzgerald died in the early hours of Friday, October 30, following a motorcycle accident. Emergency responders attempted to save him, but he died from his injuries. His girlfriend, Jamie Lyn Rin, shared the news in an Instagram post the following day.
His family asked for thoughts and prayers as they mourn his sudden death. They said he had just turned 29 and had dreams and plans for the future, and remembered him as someone who would not be forgotten.
