Lenny Kravitz’s representative has rejected reports that the singer was aboard the Learjet 60 that crashed in South Florida on Sunday, November 1. The aircraft had departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and was headed to North Eleuthera Airport in The Bahamas. All nine people on board were killed.
The rumor appears to have originated with a post shared on X by pilot Emily Shelton. In a deleted Facebook message, Shelton said she was honored to be flying Kravitz from Austin to the Bahamas and was looking forward to having him on board.
However, the report indicated that Shelton was not the pilot of the aircraft involved in the crash. The New York Post identified one of the plane’s co-pilots as 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha.
Kravitz’s representative addressed the speculation in a statement to BocaNewsNow, saying: “The reports are untrue and incorrect.”
