Lake Bell and artist Rashid Johnson have publicly confirmed their romance with a Halloween post on Instagram. Bell, 47, shared a selfie with Johnson, 48, on Saturday, October 31, captioning it, “Happy Hallow-hard launch.”
Bell wore a black stole and matching beret in the photo, while Johnson appeared in a charcoal-colored tuxedo. Neither has offered further public comments about the relationship, which Bell’s friends welcomed in the post’s comment section.
Erinn Hayes called the couple “fiiiiiiiine,” while Reed Moreno responded with heart-eye emojis. Designer Gabriela Hearst described them as “HOT,” “COUPLE” and “ALIVE,” and Alice Evans commented, “Holy hotness…”
Bell was previously married to Scott Campbell for seven years. They share two children and divorced in 2020, but have continued to co-parent amicably. In 2022, Bell said that respect and communication were central to their relationship as co-parents, describing it as an ongoing effort that was especially important for their children.
Bell has also said that she and Campbell established boundaries around introducing new partners to their children. She explained that she generally preferred not to rush the process, although circumstances could vary depending on the relationship and whether a new partner had children of their own.
Johnson shares a son, Julius, with his former wife, Sheree Hovsepian. Bell has not publicly said whether Johnson has met her family.
