Kellie Pickler has reportedly reached an undisclosed settlement with the parents of her late husband, Kyle Jacobs, in a dispute over his personal belongings and estate. Court documents cited by People on November 4 say Pickler and Reed and Sharon Jacobs have resolved all claims and requests between them and are satisfied with the distribution of assets and the current state of the estate.

The settlement brings an end to more than two years of legal disagreements over ownership of Jacobs’s personal property after his death in February 2023. His parents are coadministrators of his estate.

Pickler filed a legal petition in 2024 after, according to the filing, her in-laws sought items listed in an inventory through a subpoena. The requested property reportedly included Jacobs’s gun collection, watches and jewelry, baseball cards, musical instruments and personal devices. Pickler’s lawyers said ownership of some items was disputed and alleged that items had been removed from her home without permission.

Reed and Sharon Jacobs denied her allegations in a court filing, saying they entered the home at Pickler’s invitation and met with her and her counsel to discuss transferring estate property. They also asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit, citing the prenuptial agreement Pickler and Jacobs signed when they married in 2011.

A protective order was later granted barring either side from sharing transcripts or video evidence from the proceedings. Representatives for both sides were contacted for comment, according to the report.

Jacobs died at age 49 in February 2023. A medical examiner’s report cited in the original account determined that his death was suicide; a toxicology investigation found no drugs in his system.
