Katseye postponed its Detroit concert at Little Caesars Arena just 30 minutes before it was due to begin, saying member Megan Skiendiel had fallen ill and could not perform.
In an Instagram Story posted Tuesday, November 3, the group apologized and said it wanted to give Skiendiel time to rest and recover. Katseye also acknowledged that fans had travelled and made plans to attend, and said it was disappointed not to see them. The group did not provide further details about her illness.
The cancellation came during Katseye’s global Wildworld Tour. Fans shared their disappointment on social media, while some also expressed sympathy for the group. One fan speculated that Skiendiel had fainted backstage, but the claim was not confirmed by the band.
Less than three months earlier, Katseye withdrew from a scheduled performance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival after Skiendiel sprained her ankle.
