JustFoodForDogs is bringing back its Thanksgiving Feast flavor, offering pet parents a holiday-inspired alternative to table scraps. The fresh dog food brand says the recipe is made specifically for dogs and avoids ingredients that can make sharing a traditional Thanksgiving meal unsafe for pets.
The limited-edition meal includes turkey, sweet potato, green beans, cranberries and kale, among other ingredients. It is described as a complete and balanced recipe made with 100% human-grade ingredients and gently cooked in the brand’s open kitchens.
Turkey serves as the recipe’s protein source, while sweet potatoes provide fiber, vitamins B6 and C, and beta-carotene. Kale adds additional vitamins and minerals. The brand says the meal contains no added preservatives, additives or growth hormones.
For the first time, the Thanksgiving Feast can be ordered online through participating retailers. It is available for healthy adult dogs through November 25, or while supplies last, and can be served for special occasions or intermittently alongside a dog’s regular feeding routine. JustFoodForDogs advises customers to follow its feeding guidance rather than use the recipe as an everyday replacement meal.
The brand is also donating 9,000 Thanksgiving Feast meals to rescue organizations across the country, allowing shelter dogs to receive the holiday meal as well.
After the limited-edition recipe sells out, subscriptions will switch to JustFoodForDogs’ Turkey and Whole Wheat Macaroni recipe.
