Jonathan Bennett is hoping to reunite with Lindsay Lohan on General Hospital. At the 2026 Daytime Emmys in Los Angeles on October 30, Bennett told Us Weekly he was waiting for Lohan to join the soap opera for a six-week run as his sister.
Bennett suggested the pair could play undercover agents in a dramatic storyline, adding that he would leave the plot details to the show’s writers. The actors first worked together in the 2004 film Mean Girls, playing Aaron Samuels and Cady Heron. They last appeared together onscreen in 2019, when Bennett hosted Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club: After the Show.
Bennett joined General Hospital as Detective Joe Fitzpatrick in May. The role marked his return to daytime television after playing J.R. Chandler on All My Children from 2001 to 2002. He said he accepted the opportunity because he has a fondness for the people who make daytime TV and its fans.
Lohan returned to acting in 2022 with Netflix’s Falling for Christmas. She later starred in Irish Wish and Our Little Secret, as well as Disney’s Freakier Friday. She is also set to appear in Hulu’s limited series Count My Lies and the Netflix romantic comedy Return to You.
