Jenny McCarthy says she is not ready to remove her breast implants, despite ongoing health issues she has attributed to mold poisoning. She discussed the decision with plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow on the November 3 episode of The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show podcast.
McCarthy said people have teased her about having implants because she is “toxic-phobic.” She acknowledged the apparent contradiction, but said she might consider removing them someday. For now, she explained, work requires her to wear dresses, and she has already gone significantly smaller than before. She added that she is not ready to go without implants.
McCarthy has spoken publicly about health problems she has experienced while detoxing after mold poisoning. In March, she discussed a jaw infection and growths on her eyes. On an October podcast episode, she described a series of medical visits, surgeries, tooth extractions and unexplained growths, saying she eventually learned that her immune system was responding to a larger problem.
She said testing led to a doctor telling her she had serious mold exposure, including a type the doctor warned could cause seizures if it reached the blood-brain barrier. McCarthy said last month that she was still undergoing detox, then in its seventh month, and remained wary of living anywhere other than a tent.
